UBM Built Environment’s Sustainability Now Virtual Event Honored with a Be2Award, UBM Studios Provided Turnkey Virtual Environment

UBM Built Environment’s Client Solutions and UBM Studios, a turnkey virtual environment producer, today announced that that the Sustainability Now series of virtual events were honored with a 2011 Be2Award in the “Best Virtual or Hybrid Event” category. The event was produced by UBM Built Environment’s BD, Building and Property Week Magazines, while UBM Studios provided the turnkey virtual environment for the event.

The Be2Awards are the world’s first awards for social media in the built environment and produced by Be2camp, the social media advocacy community for the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC) and related industries thinking about and deploying Web 2.0 tools and techniques.

“We are honored that our series of events has been recognized for excellence.  We received positive feedback from our clients and audience following our events, but as the recipient of this award we are now certain that we have delivered an outstanding series for built environment professionals.  We look forward to continuing to offer more virtual events that help our customers drive their businesses forward,” said Richard Myles, Virtual Solutions Director of UBM Built Environment.

The Sustainability Now series of virtual events was targeted to built environment professionals and their clients. The series of events offered the latest news and information on creating and sustaining a green built environment.

In the Conference Hall the conference program featured industry leaders offering their thoughts and opinions on the market and addressing the issues and challenges in and around sustainability, while the Exhibit Hall included booths by sponsors and exhibitors.  Additionally in the Networking Lounge, event attendees were able to chat with peers one-on-one or in group chats.  All presentations were immediately available on demand.

The event attracted an audience of 2,800 built environment professionals over the course of four live event days in 2010. This year the event runs on a new and improved platform and is live again in May and November 2011.
